Physiography and Climate

Location

 - Physiography and Climate

The Rio Grande property occurs in the Altiplano of NW Argentina at elevations between 3,700 m and 4,700 m. Base levels of the salars in the area are approximately 3700 m, with surrounding volcanic peaks to over 6000 m. The climate is typical of the high cordillera of NW Argentina and NE Chile; very dry and windy. Vegetation and water are scarce on the property. Fresh water springs and wells near the margin of the Salar de Arizaro and other nearby salars provide water for the drilling programs.
