The Haquira project is located in a remote part of southern Peru. Should the project be brought into development/production then improvements to the access roads will be necessary for transport of major equipment to develop the project. The nearest town with services is Chalhuahuacho, located about 10 km east of the Project. All supplies and fuel for the region are trucked in from either Arequipa or Cuzco. Although surface and ground water is in abundant supply, reservoirs will need to be constructed to maintain continuous water supply for the project. Electric power will have to be brought in to the property via a new transmission line of approximately 100 km.

Xstrata Copper recently acquired an option to develop the Las Bambas copper project, which is located immediately north and adjacent to the Haquira project. If Xstrata brings their project into development before Haquira is developed, Antares could possibly benefit from the infrastructure improvements (primarily access road and power line) that will be required for the Las Bambas Project.

In June 2006, Antares Minerals contracted Nexos Comerciales S.A.C. of Lima to complete the construction of a 60-person field camp located adjacent to the community of Huanacopampa, which is immediately north of the Haquira Project. The camp consists of a kitchen building, dormitory buildings for Antares staff, guests and drilling contractors, and various weather haven-style buildings for offices and warehouses. The camp has been subsequently expanded to accommodate 100 persons. The operation has satellite internet and phone links, as well as its own FM radio communication antenna used to coordinate all field exploration activities.
